May Military Retreat
Whether you’re active duty, Reserve, National Guard, Coast Guard, ROTC, or a veteran, military life brings experiences and challenges that are often best understood by others who have walked a similar road.
The Battle Bus Ministries Military Retreat is an opportunity to step away from everyday responsibilities, build authentic friendships, and explore questions of faith, purpose, and the hope found in Jesus Christ—all in a welcoming, relaxed environment.
You don’t need to have faith figured out to come. Whether you’re curious about Christianity, new in your faith, looking to reconnect with God, or simply looking for meaningful community with others from a military background, there’s a place for you here.
More than a getaway—an opportunity to connect.
Military life can mean changing duty stations, long hours, unpredictable schedules, time away from family, and experiences that can be difficult for others to understand. This weekend creates space to get away from those demands and connect with people who get it.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll enjoy outdoor recreation, great food, campfires, downtime, and plenty of opportunities for meaningful conversation. We’ll also spend time exploring what the Bible says about life, purpose, struggle, and hope—and why we believe Jesus Christ offers something the world cannot.
There’s no pressure to have the right answers. Bring your questions, bring your story, and come as you are.
What to Expect
Our retreats are intentionally informal. We leave room for genuine friendships and conversations to develop naturally throughout the weekend.
You can expect:

- Biblical teaching and discussion

There is absolutely no cost to attend.
Thanks to the generosity of Battle Bus Ministries supporters and ministry partners, transportation, lodging, meals, activities, and retreat materials are all provided.
We want to remove the barriers that might keep someone from coming and create an opportunity for members of the military community to build meaningful relationships, ask honest questions, and encounter the hope of Jesus Christ.
