Military life often comes with unique challenges, frequent transitions, and demanding schedules. Battle Bus Ministries creates opportunities for military members to connect with others who understand those experiences while growing in authentic Christian community.
Whether you’re joining us for a single evening or an entire weekend retreat, you’ll find a welcoming environment focused on encouragement, friendship, and faith.
Weekend Retreats
Throughout the year, Battle Bus Ministries hosts retreats designed for different military communities and stages of service. These weekends are especially intended for those who are curious about Christianity, new in their faith, or looking to reconnect with God—you don’t need to have faith figured out to come.
Each retreat combines outdoor recreation, great food, fellowship, and plenty of downtime with opportunities to explore what the Bible says about life, purpose, struggle, and the hope found in Jesus Christ. Our retreats are relaxed and intentionally relational, creating space for genuine friendships, honest questions, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to learn more about Jesus without pressure.
Retreats typically serve military members between the ages of
20–45. An itinerary will be provided when participants arrive. Before each retreat, we will send a group text with the central pickup and drop-off location in Northeast Wisconsin.

Day Events
Not every meaningful connection happens during a weekend retreat.
Throughout the year, Battle Bus Ministries hosts day trips and local events that provide opportunities to build friendships, enjoy shared experiences, and encourage one another in faith.
Whether we’re heading to a baseball game, hiking a local trail, fishing, sharing a meal, or serving together in the community, every event creates space for authentic relationships and meaningful conversations.
One of the most unique parts of these events is the journey itself.
Traveling together aboard the Battle Bus naturally creates opportunities for conversation, discipleship, prayer, and encouragement long before we arrive at our destination. Often, some of the most meaningful moments happen on the road.
